FAQ

Answers to questions you may have!

How long are the churros good for?

The churros are best eaten or frozen within 2 days of pickup for optimal taste and texture.

How do I reheat the Churros?

For warm and crispy churros, use a toaster, air-fryer, or oven at 350 for 2 minutes if fresh and 5 minutes if frozen.

Timing may vary per device.

Are all the churros Gluten Free?

Yes, our churros are made with Krusteaz Gluten Free Flour (whole grain sorghum flour, brown rice flour, whole grain millet flour, rice flour, modified food starch, whole grain quinoa flour, and xanthan gum) and fried in a dedicated frier.

Are the churros Dairy Free?

The churros contain butter and therefore are not dairy-free by default. However, feel free to contact us about your order, and we can swap out for dairy-free butter. The shape may be a little less defined.

Are the churros Soy-Free?

Yes, the flour blend contains no soy ingredients and we use Canola oil in the fryer.

Are the churros Vegetarian/Vegan?

The churros are Vegetarian by default, and can be made vegan by leaving out the eggs and using dairy-free butter. They may be a tad denser and less defined as a result, but they will still be super tasty!

Are you a commercial bakery?

No, we are a home bakery under the Cottage Food Regulations of North Carolina.

Cottage Food Processing

Food production and sales require following guidelines for low-risk foods (like baked goods, jams, and jellies).

  • Production: Maintain a clean and sanitary kitchen environment. Implement proper food handling practices to prevent contamination.

  • Packaging and Labeling: Ensure your products are packaged appropriately to maintain freshness and safety. Clearly label them with the item name, ingredients, allergens, and weight of contents.

  • Sales: You can sell directly to consumers, at Farmers markets or festivals, and retail stores.   Products can be shipped within the state or out of state.

We do not participate in the voluntary Home Processor Program.
