Our Committment to Sustainability
What we Do to Be Eco-Friendly

Compostable "Plastic"
Food Service requires a lot of "single-use" items for food safety reasons. We make the commitment to ensure that any single-use item we are purchasing is certified compostable to ASTM D6400 standards. We then take all of our compost to one of 3 Wake County locations for commercial composting. We recommend you do the same! If you are unable to get to one of these locations, you can drop off your empty Churro containers with us on your next order, and we'll do it for you!

Bamboo Products
Other single-use items common in the food industry are Paper Towels and Napkins. We purchase paper products that are made of bamboo rather than trees. Bamboo is the fastest growing plant on earth (that we know of right now) with growth rates of 1 to 4 ft a day! Bamboo reaches full growth in just 1 year, and you only need 1.5 lbs of Bamboo per roll of paper towels.
